ABOUT JAMES

“You Will Laugh, Cry, Dance, Sing and Drink Along With Friends and Strangers Alike!”

James Harriman takes a nostalgic 90’s Britpop sound and collides it with Contemporary Folk-Rock influences creating a sound that brings old and new together. He delivers a non-stop, high energy live persona alongside catchy choruses and strong lyrics. James writes songs that are designed to be listened to, often touching on deeper themes such as relationships and mental health that contrast with the upbeat happy sound of the music. Over the past four years James has grown a dedicated following and a reputation for high energy live shows. “You will Laugh, Cry, Dance, Sing and Drink along with Friends and Strangers Alike!”

James’ debut single 'Half Past Two’ comments on student life, with references to nights out, drinking, and the inevitable feeling of regret the morning after. In summer 2018 James took on his first UK tour promoting this single release. Playing small venues and festivals James grew a fanbase, winning over crowds with his showmanship and entertaining performances. James has performed across the UK in legendary venues such as “Moles” (Bath) and “The Rainbow” (Birmingham), has played many big events including “Free Radio Live” and “The Birmingham Weekender" and has been a favourite on the 2018 festival circuit.  James’ second single ‘Castaway’ was released in March 2019 with an EP and another single being recorded for a planned summer release.
